The above diagram represents the ISO standard for the handing of doors. For instance a door closer mounted at ISO 5.1 is on a clockwise closing door on the opening face. Many different items of ironmongery are manufactured as handed, rising or falling butts, split follower escape locks and many items due to door design , locality or reveal details need to be fixed in a curtain position all may be described as ISO 5.0, 5.1, 6.0 or 6.1 |
